“Save Our Streets” was formed due to the extremely high level of crime and violence that has been plaguing Chicago's urban communities within the last 5 years. Although the news about youth violence eventually affects every young person, most of the young people directly affected grows up in Chicago’s most distressed and underserved neighborhoods. In these areas, high school dropout rates and unemployment are extremely high and many schools and social service agencies are struggling to stay open. These plus many other circumstances that lead to youth violence and social issues, must all be addressed differently. By using a combination of Positive Programs, Outreach, Prevention, Intervention, Response, and Mentorship, our Organization has set forth to address many of these circumstances and issues. 

SOS is a group of experienced individuals that have united together to identify and solve core problems in underserved urban communities. By collaborating together for one common cause, SOS have developed programs, provided resources and created technology that offers solutions to many of the problems in the urban community.
